Can you get insurance for a garage/lock up which is away from home?

We are trying to purchase one & it's just up our back street so obviously not part of our house. We will sometimes have the car there but will mainly be storage for tools & roof box& bulky stuff. Nothing very expensive but would all add up.

Do you get insurance for this sort of building?

I'm pretty sure you can get insurance for anything if you're prepared to pay.

Youre probably right, ive just never seen it advertised.

Ask your house insurer. It may be covered by your existing policy, you never know. Or they could extend your house insurance to cover the garage

Thanks, good idea. Fingers crossed we get it!
