First time buyer?

We sold our house 2.5 years ago, and have been renting since.

We are now looking to buy a house - are we classed as first time buyers? Because the option appears to be remortgage to buy another house, and we are not remortgaging, but nor are we first time buyers.

Any advice please.

we rented after selling our house as well and we didn't get any first time buyer deals we we got our mortgage - seemed to be plenty on the market through -

We didn't count as first time buyers because Dp had previously owned a house, sold two years before we bought. I had never bought before but that didn't count!

You aren't first time buyers, you are purchasers, so your deals available will be for purchase mortgages. You will not be eligible for first time buyer deals even though you don't currently own a property.

Great thanks for clarifying that.
