If tax credits are due to be paid on a monday but normally goes into the bank on a saturday and aint there is there something wrong?

A family member gets their credits paid this way but unsure whether they should be contacting t/c to see where payment is or if they need to wiat till monday.

She really needs the money today to get her shopping/nappies for her baby and as it normally is in the bank on a saturday she is freaking out.

Not quite sure what I can do/say to her at this time of the morning mind you, thankfully i have been uo since 4am otherwise i would have been really pissed off at getting a phonecall about this waking me up

This week we had our tax credits stopped. The first I knew was when it didn't go into the bank. They said they have written to us but still no letter has appeared. We've sorted it now.
They had their computers down from last friday to thursday so there could be a delay.
Tell your friend to ring them at 8am when they open so that she can check everything is as it should be.

The computers were down, but I still had my money on Friday, I know it normally goes in at midnight but I would check again at 9.00am
