Tax Credits & Childcare!

Firstly, Im not unemployed & receiving benefits for the fun of it! I'm desperate to go back to work, but I need to know i have my DS a place at a nursery/childminder before I start applying. I know you can get extra tax credits to pay up to 70% on childcare costs, but will they pay that before I start working!?

I'm not sure but I wouldn't have thought so, if I were you I would look round some childcare places so that you know whats available and what you like. Then when you get a job offer it will just be a case of ringing round and checking they have got the days and hours you want.

No, they dont pay childcare for those not working. You have to wait until you start work and then inform them.

That's what i thought, thankyou!
