Don't understand

Assistant manager has just rung from work to say that I hadn't out the name of my bank or which branch the account is held at on my forms.

I told her I had on the one we filled in on the first day. She couldn't find that one.

Anyway, I got paid today. How did they pay me if they needed to know that ???

The sort code actually tells the bank what branch you're with. Providing that information again is just for backup.

they will have been able to tell by the sort code and the account number.
I dont think it will be anything to worry about.
Your sode code is actually the banks address or at least confirms the branch.
