For the last year I have been living quite carefully as we had a problem with DH's pension

I am employing 3 ladies to help me Childmind.

They have lived this whole thing with us for the last 13 months

We now have the money reinstated and a lump sum for the back pay.

But when I was talking about it the actual amount came out - and one of them seems mortally offended that my DH gets more for not working then her DH gets working

I didn't mean to be insensative and it's made things a bit awkward since

Is there anything I can do or say to make things better?

It's not a pension as such though, is it, km? Isn't it from a contributory PHI or something? (Not that that would make her feel any better probably, but it was insurance?)

No I think Insurance makes it worse (esp as her DH has a health problem)

If you have been through alot of heartache - then I think you shouldn't feel guilty. I don't kno your situation .... but perhaps you should feel that after all the hassle you actually deserve it ....

What is her problem, it is your business, tell her to get over it.

I just hate this sort of thing - I think I'll just leave it alone and she can get over it in her own time
