Through no fault of our own, at all, we have been overpaid Tax Credits by quite a bit. We have informed the Inland Revenue on several occasions that we didn't qualify for it but regardless they carried on paying it.

We recently received a letter stating that we now owed them this back(obviously) and that they would write to is in the near future to arrrange it's repayment.

But we're leaving the country in January! Should I keep quiet? The money is there but I wondered what would happen if........

Hold on and see what happens, this happened to my friend and she left the country before she got the letter organising payments.

The hell with them. I'm so tired of their screw ups. Our appeal was upheld and our compensation was £100.

I'd skip out and the hell w/'em.
