How easy is it to get replacement bank statements?

I'm a treasurer of a local group and have totally ignored the books due to stress etc.. no excuse I know. I just stuck the statements in the bag with the books Now I've seen there's one missing. Can you get replacements? I'll ring the bank tomorrow but thought I'd ask here first. TIA

yes replacements can be obtained-at a price about £5.00 a sheet I think

WigWamBam · 08/11/2005 20:37

You can ask them for one but they generally charge for it - our bank charges £20 (if I remember rightly) for a replacement bank statement.

Some banks dont charge or if you use internet banking you could download one.

Eeeek £20, which bank is that? This one is HSBC.

yULeYSEES · 08/11/2005 20:41

lol had changed my name as so embarrassed

I'm trying to hand the books over as I have nothing to do with the association but no one will take them Even had one councillor bragging to me that he'd come round to discuss something with me as he had been a trainee accountant and I said "great, you can have them" soon shut him up... grrrrrr.

I bank online and don't get statements - I can go back and print them off if I need to though. That's with HSBC too. They're open till 10pm too - give them a ring and ask.

Oh and notice I said them, there was one missing from April this year...think it's time to hand the books over whether they like it or not
