since my thread yesterday, both myself and dp have applied for housing benefit/council tax benefit. Have been in touch with a free debt counciling agency who can get us paying £200 a month to our creditors. Which we have a spare £100 after budgeting plus with housing benefit etc we can afford that.

And the biggest news i have is i managed to get a job today too.

Still such a long way to go, but its all a start.

Wow great news, admitting the problem is the hardest bit. Good luck and remember you are not alone.

Oh wonderful!

Do you feel a load has been lifted???

rayofsunshine · 07/11/2005 20:06

yes a little, but still a long way to go.

the job will only gain us an extra £128 a month, by time travel and other bits are taken off, i.e childcare but its a start and its in a supermarket so i am hoping that maybe i can do a little overtime too.
