Has anyone been thru a divorce acting on your own behalf.ie the forms you send away for at a county court. If so how long did it take for you? Were there children involved.
My partner is just about to send his forms off. There are no children no finances,no house to sort out so its very straight forward. We want to get married April 29th.Does anyone think poss?

On what basis are they divorcing? Adultery or 2 years' separation with consent? It rather depends on his wife's level of cooperation, but, if she is as keen for the divorce to go through as he is, then April seems very possible.

when i got divorced the paper work began in the August and was completed by the January. There were no children, but house had to be sorted out.I bought him out,how good that felt!

2years seperation(+)with consent.Oh I hope its thru in time as its my 30th birthday too.She will definitely cooperate as he is paying the fees.It was amicable, though he cant stand her cuz later found out she had an affair for a year! Thanks for that advice.Fingers crossed.
