The Turn to Us / Entitled to calculator for working out tax credits (and other benefits) now has the option to work out your benefits for the coming 2011 -2012 tax year :)

I know there were several of us who were trying to calculate our TC now's the time to see if we can do our sums right! Wink

Thank you Smile

We should still get some tax credits which is a pleasant surprise

Chil1234 · 24/03/2011 14:58

Thanks for the link. I ran my stats and got the answer I expected which is a big fat 'nothing' :) Might have a party to celebrate.

AlmaMartyr · 24/03/2011 15:13

Is that calculator meant to include child benefit?

Chil1234 · 24/03/2011 15:18

Tax credits seem to come first on that calculator. You have to keep going with the questions to get the answer on whether you're entitled to other benefits.

ChasingSquirrels · 24/03/2011 15:19

calculation bang on what I had worked it out as.
About time they got it updated.

Thanks for posting OP

AlmaMartyr · 24/03/2011 15:25

I went all the way through with it and it told me that I was entitled to Council Tax Benefit (which I've never heard of but can't imagine that I am entitled to) but said nothing about child benefit (which I'm pretty sure I am entitled to. The tax credits calculation seemed about right though Confused Maybe I did it wrong.

Thanks for posting :)

ChasingSquirrels · 24/03/2011 15:55

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 27/03/2011 23:54

Thanks for that - it says my TC's will be going up........I guess I'll have to wait and see

And no it didn't give my child benefit figures either Confused

ChasingSquirrels · 28/03/2011 17:19

if your household income is less than about £25k (not sure on exact figure) then you should get more, as the rates have all increased.
As you start earning more it is clawed back at a higher % than previously, so above around £25k you get less.
