How long for cheques to clear ???

Paid some cheques in on Thursday morning, when will I be able to draw on them do you think ??

I bank with Barclays.

Normally takes 4 working days unless the cheque is a Barclay's one and that is treated like cash (well that's what happens at the TSB)

So the answer is no nutty.

If you need to borrow some cash I bank with Barclays and I can transfer some to you and it will be there on tuesday if you need

For some reason dp and me got our wires crossed. He thought I had £20 so used his last £20 to put petrol in the car. I thought though that he was saying that he had £20 after he'd put the petrol in and so I paid a bill with my £20.

Cheques take three working days (you don't count the day you paid the cheques in) to clear so it would be this Thursday.

Correction - it will be Wednesday.
