My DH has been laid off and finishes work this week. He has already applied for work so we're hopeful it won't be for long.
He is going to speak to the Jobcentre about claiming some jobseekers allowance, but not sure what else we're entitled to, as we own 2 homes (only because the flat we moved out of after we had our DD is worth far less than the mortgage on it, or we would have sold it - we rent it out now - which is another problem, we have a tenant who isn't too reliable with paying her rent)
Can anyone offer any insight - will he even be able to claim jobseekers?
