When you apply for your new credit card it will ask you on application if you want to do bal transfer, just iput details of exsisting card and bal etc. Look out for ones offering 0% but beaware there are sometimes fees etc. You may be best poppin to a few banks to see some one face to face and see whats on offer.

(I work in a bank :) )

Hope that helps.

Have a look on moneysupermarket for deals. Apply and then transfer your old balance over when it's all been approved. Make sure you check the time the 0% is on for and that 0% includes balance transfers. Also compare the transfer fee as it varies from bank to bank.

Sainsbury's have a good deal 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months, but you may be able to find better.
