Yuor friends insurance company will request medical docs and a medical report to confirm your condition.

They will deal with it all, and if the docs feels necessary, a course of physio may be advised, which will also be sorted by the ins company.

hope you feel better soon

Some insurance companies will also compel you to see THEIR doctor or get a second opinion regarding diagnosis before entertaining any claims for compensation.
