Am newly back to paid employment for a bit and trying to figure out my payslip, it has the following:
Earning for NI £XX
Earning for Tax £XX+ a bit
Total Gross Pay £XX + a bit more.

What is your actual gross salary, in terms of which number do I multiply by 12 to check my final salary is correct? Blush

It should be total gross pay x 12 but you would need to discount any expenses or "unusual" payments on the payslip. Our payslips actually state our grade / increment / annual salary at the bottom of the payslip so have never actually thought about it!

Total Gross Pay, although this may be less than your actual salary due to salary sacrifice benefits such as childcare vouchers or a flexible benefits package.
