paternity pay problems

My partners employer is demanding the mat b1 form as proof of pregnancy before they will pay his paternity pay. I sent the form off to get my maternity allowance long before DD was born. My health visitor and midwife say the mat b1 form does not go to partner and cant get copies of it, they also say his employer should know they dont get the mat b1 form. what proof am I ment to give them? He works for NHS and would think they would know what they are talking about but apparantly not

the birth certificate (send a copy!) should be enough to convince them :)

have you registered the birth yet? congratulations btw :)
