How much time have you got?

thisisyesterday · 14/01/2011 21:00

it'll be ok! really!

how much time do you have to find a new place? what area?

LargeGlassofRed · 14/01/2011 21:04

have about 6 weeks left of our notice,
Also I went bankcrupt in May 09 although have been discharged.
Also we get HB as although DP works full time, I'm not working at the mo dure to twins being 18months and childcare costing more than wage.

Arrrghhhhh

6 weeks isn't too bad, still time for new houses to come on the market.

How much of a hunt have you done so far? All the letting agents/housing associations/web pages?

Have you seen any For Sale signs that might have been up for ages - sometimes the owner needs to get someone in and would consider a let.

Thanks I've covered all letting agents, housing associations, have a meeting with the homeless team on Monday

So, any news?

LargeGlassofRed · 17/01/2011 20:16

Hi Lemon, meeting went ok thanks, but no assurances of any accomadation from them, 4 beds very rarely become available.
Someone is suppose to be getting back on Thursday.

On a real positive note though, I spoke to a local letting agent and explained that although we get some HB Dp works full time and we have excellent references etc.

I was amazed when she said it shouldn't be a problem to rent through them, when she's checked with the landlords.
They but me down has paying nil rent and Dp as paying fully so as long as his wage covers it ok. she think it will be ok.

They are getting back to us tomorrow so have every thing crossed they have 2 4 beds on at the mo so if either of the landlords will take us, it will be a huge relief Smile
