my sis sent me some clothes in the post. i had to pay £37 in taxes type stuff. I was sooooo annoyed as she probably hadnt spent that much on them, and they were gifts for me and dc in the first place. dh said that hm customs and revenue was not a giant i wanted to pick a fight with, and that i wasnt david for its goliatn.

Be prepared to pay VAT unless the company has marked the import document as a 'gift' or if it is very low in value.
