We recently-ish changed to NP Power and just had a bill for gas and electric bill through.

For 6 months the Electric is £402.06 and the gas is £94.27

Does that seem ott or ok?

It checks your meter is measuring right. Dunno contact the co. Keep all correspondence.

You should have a look at an old bill, expect a bit of variation though. Electric sounds too high but it depends on your usage, gas sounds OK though, it will be from May to October so won't cover the very cold weather. How many of you in the house?

Hi Cod. Smile

My electric is £33 a month if that helps.

Gas is £36 a month but that takes into account very high then very low winter / summer useage. Not sure how much the true cost would be in the summer months.

It does depend on whether you have an electric boiler/storage heaters. These are really expensive to run.

Is your usage roughly the same as it was before? (Its a better measure than cost.......)

Thomcat · 12/10/2010 20:40

Check that NPower have got the right meter readings and that it isn't an estimated bill. If the readings are right then bill is correct. If the readings are wrong then either call or go online to correct them.
