can anyone offer me some advice re tax credits?

Well, hope, more than advice.

We sent our tax credits renewal forms off day after they arrived at our home. we also rang through as we have had issues with post before...

the renewal date came and all payments stopped.

so we rang, and rang and rang, it took several days before getting an answer, when we did we were cut off several times.

the website was impossible and we finally got through, they said we were deffinatly entilted but somethig was marked as missing from our info, but they couldnt see what so we completely the whole claim again.

in this time weve got behind on several bills, as tax credits make up a lot of our income since dp was made redundant.

we have now been given 'around 3 weeks' its now been 3 weeks and still no sign.

Ill leave it another before ringing again.

does anyone know if well get back pay so i can atleast promise that to the bills?

has anyone else had this problem and how long did it take to be resolved??

i've had a similar problem,suddenly payments stopped - phoned them up and they just needed me to confirm details, got all back pay

apparently their computer system has gone down today, and won't be fully repaired till next week Shock. So no-one is able to do anything till then, the chap told DH.

i know we got told the same today! Women on the phone was rather rude, dp barely said i wonder if you can help me and she went NO i cant, systems down and will be for some time and hung up!!! Shock

the systems possibly down because they made so many darn mistakes at the renewal time and it cant cope with all the reclaims!

we just need to know if and when the money will appear, companies dont like me saying well we can pay when the money comes in, but never being able to say when that is!!! i am getting so stressed its been ages!
