I've been trying ALL week!!! I've tried all times of the day, as I'm aware there must be busy and quiet times, but STILL can't get through grrrrrr!!!! I need to inform them of DD2 starting playschool and cm, she started last week and I'm already struggling to pay them. I've honestly tried HUNDREDS of times, what am I supposed to do!!?? Has anybody else has this problem? Tell me I'm not alone!!!

Sorry, just getting frustrated with it all now... AngrySad

Go into your local tax office they have a direct line to tax credits that gets you put straight through to talk to someone.

Thanks, I'll find out where it is and give that a go this week, anything's better than sitting dialing the same number over and over again! I'm dreading the phone bill now lol! Thanks again Smile

Purple, there was a recent thread on this where someone posted another number you can use - a regular UK number not an 0845 or whatever the one they advertise is.

Sympathy - I tried dozens of times and kept being cut off after all the ruddy automatic messages had kept me on hold for 20 minutes 'because there are no advisors free to take your call'. Eventually got through to being put on hold, whoop-dee-flaming-doo, and had to hang on for 30 minutes before I got to talk to someone!

Thanks edam, I just found it and guess what, I got through first time - thank you so so so so much!!!!

Unfortunately, I've wasted my time Angry. Turns out that we don't qualify for help with childcare costs because DH is on incapacity benefit and I get carers allowance for DD2 who is on DLA. So, because neither of us are working, we won't get any help...

Will have to reduce her time at playschool, such a shame as she really loves it and we've already seen her confidence soar - she really needs to have time there! Never mind... Sad
