Got a letter from them saying you haven't sent form back, they were paying me £45 a month. Ring this number if you want to sort it out.

So I got my P46 thingy and DH's so I could tell them our actual financial earnings. Nearly fell over when I saw how much DH had earnt - we had a combined income of £65k. We were getting the £45 a month on an estimated/previous year's income of £45k. He's done quite a bit of overtime!

So I'm guessing that with an income of 65k we're not entitled to anything. If I ring them up and tell them what our income was will they ask for £45 x 12 back?

Yep, but they may agree to take it back over a number of months rather than in one go.

Unfortunately that's the problem with the WFTC, you have to estimate your salary and then when you declare it if it's a lot higher than you expected you have to pay it back!
