Santander problems

Hope someone can tell me if Santander are having problems with thier cash machines etc.
Been to Tesco today and my card was declined. (No money problems plenty in bank). Someone said that they heard that Santander computer systems have crashed and there are problems all over. Is this correct?

This explains it then - I went on the online banking site today to transfer some money and couldn't get on, the site was down.

Sounds as though they are having problems.

MIL said they heard of someone who had problems getting money out of a machine on Friday or yesterday with a Santander card. Drove somewhere else and it worked.

A report in the Daily Mail today said they have generally poor customer service.

Barclays also had cash machine problems yesterday but that has now been sorted.

Thanks for the replies. Rang them this morning to check and the girl said "I cannot see any problems on your account its not blocked or anything and you do have money in your account!!!". I said "No its not me you have to worry about its your bank". Anyway, it turns out they have now "sorted the problem and I can have my money" :)
