My housing assocuiation have just rung me about my rent.

Since June we have been paying £70 a month extra for arrears and I thought it wouldn't be cleared until March, but they have just rung and said that from 1st Dec we can go back to normal payments, so we will be £70 a month better off

Am going to use that to clear council tax arrears more quickly then as they finnish in April so might be able to clear it a bit soooner

That's great news

anorak · 24/08/2005 15:20

That's great news. It's so encouraging to see the debt being eroded, isn't it?

nutcracker · 24/08/2005 15:22

God yes it certainly is. Once the council tax arreras are cleared too, we will be £140 a month better of.

Have also only 2 and a bit payments left to Nppwer too so thats another £40 a month, AND 2 payments left on my washing machine so thats another £20 a month.

Oh i could sing

Don't spend it yet though, wait until you get to enjoy seeing a healthier bank balance !

nutcracker · 24/08/2005 15:31

Oh don't worry I won't be spending it yet. We won't see a difference until after xmas anyway really.

Hopefully we may get a holiday next year now though.

Worked out earlier that everything we owe will be paid off by April, and we will be £200 a month better off.

Oh one exception is Next, that will take a bit longer, but is only £20 a month so not too bad really.

SherlockLGJ · 24/08/2005 23:18

Don't let DH near it though

My DH decided we had a little excess to spend this month...............

You do not want to know what he paid for a top of the range scissors to go with his expensive knives (bought pre DS, so basically when we had disposable disposable IYKWIM )

I thought about inserting them where the sun don't shine, but someone has to put the bins out

MarsLady · 24/08/2005 23:19
