Hello,

I joined Mumsnet today and would love to join in a bookswap if anyone has a space?

I love to read, anything and everything, and commuting to work 3 days a week means i get 25 mins each way to bury myself in a book.

I think I get the gist of how this works and would love to join a group if there is a space anywhere....

Many thanks
K

I got my book too and have posted mine today (sorry its a bit late). Hope you are all well? I had an Idea of each of us either writing on the inside cover (if no one minds) or putting a bit of paper inside with comments on to pass to the next person, just thought? xxx

theslumbertaker · 16/06/2010 19:20

Hi all

I'm really sorry but it looks as though i will need to bow out of this swap. It seems i was a bit optimistic when thinking that i would have time/energy for reading with a newborn and 3yo. I am not managing to fit anything in at all, and will be unlikely to even finish the first book i received in time! I will send the book i received from exogenesis to the next person on the list (mudandroses), but please remove me from the list for the following months. Apologies again.

nowit · 20/06/2010 14:51

Hello All, I am now back from my holiday and have read and loved my book!!!
Thank you.
I read 'Notes from an Exhibition' by Patrick Gale from Moo. I won't go into too much detail as I don't want to give you all spoilers but is a book about Bipolar which makes it sound a little bleak, but it is wonderful, personal and funny. I can't help but think that the author has some personal experience in this field or thoughly did his research.
Looking forward to the next instalment!
Oh and moo I have had to buy a new copy of this book to forward on as my DD (18 mths) ripped out 2 pages (little begger) god love her! I hope this is ok? so exo expect an amazon package with your book.
Hope you are all well, looking forward to hearing how you have all got on with your books?

moocowmrs · 22/06/2010 21:44

Nowit not a problem, glad you liked it, it was hit at our bookgroup two, I too thought it would be bleak but would describe it the same way you have, i will lookforward to more reading it so we can have a good discussion without spoiling it, but was a wonderful read.
I am sending you then next one tomorrow as on hols from thursday it is the cappacino years.

It was interesting to re read the cappaccino years after the era inwhich it was set as to speak and look back at the time with a different eye ( 1997 election) I enjoyed a giggle and it was a fun read ! Also added to on a personal not because my Grandma lived in Ashby de la Zouch ( where it is based)
Will not say any more till more have read it.

Looking forward to my next book.

Happy reading all x

received my new book today - thanks will start it tonite

moocowmrs · 10/07/2010 19:25

Have finished the Anne Tyler "Back When we were grownups" I have had a horrid week and this really helped keep me sane, it is a easy read about a family, that kept me gripped and absorbed for the whole read. A few unanswered questions at the end I thought unless I have missed something. Sharbie did you think that?
