Sorry to hear about your mum Ed. Hope her recovery is swift.

I am pleased to announce I have started my book ! Just another 550 pages to go but so far feels like it won't be too hard read and I think I might like it. SHoul be reading now as dh has taken dd1 out and dd2 is snoozing. Must get off MN.

TeamEd - errmmm.... sorry it wasn't the book waiting at the post office. Have emailed madamy to ask her to send her 2nd choice book on Monday. She def had the right address.

Hope your Mum heals quickly. It must have been quite a shock for you all but thankfully a relief that it wasn't a stroke.

Wheely - I hope you enjoy the read. I found it easy but enjoyable iykwim.

Team Ed - righty ho, I've sent another book 1st class to you today and it will definately fit through your letterbox! It's a bit slimmer, so hopefully will be a quicker read as it's now the middle of the month!
Sorry to read about your mum and hope she's on the mend.
I've included a little someting to accompany the book reading

Thank goodness that one arrived! It was a bit of a rush choice of book though, not quite as good as some of his others.

simpson · 18/07/2009 16:34

Just got back from a week away and getting this thread on threads I'm on

My mum read my book too and loved it!!

headintheclouds · 19/07/2009 15:50

I finished my book last night -very good and will be sending on to you simpson. Im going on holiday for 2 weeks this saturday so finished this early-I will have to read mine when I get back and try and read it quickley-am hoping its not really long saga!

MoominMymbleandMy · 19/07/2009 17:06

I've finally posted some hopefully intelligent-ish sounding comments on the linked thread, and am feeling moderately virtuous. Proof at last that I do not always leave my homework until the last minute.

simpson · 19/07/2009 20:04

Oh getting excited about book no.2 coming!!

Wheelybug · 20/07/2009 17:54

Have finished my book (loved it) ! Looking forward to number 2. Cheeky request - Swissmiss, if you finish it early and you're able to post it early then that would be great as i go away for 2 weeks on 1st Aug. But don't worry if you can't !

swissmiss · 20/07/2009 19:48

Wheely - glad you liked it. Will do, we're planning on being away by then too. Still waiting on DH's contract end date but hey ho! It's a nightmare trying to sort a holiday when you don't actually know if you can go until the week before!

JackBauer · 21/07/2009 20:57

Finished mine, vyer good, have finally got round to posting comment on the book thread too so marking place back on here!

PotterVsCullen · 21/07/2009 21:02

Struggling with my book a bit, it's just not the kind of book I would normally read. But that is the point of this swap really, isn't it?!?

simpson · 21/07/2009 21:13

finished mine a while ago but only just got round to posting comment

When am I supposed to be posting it on??

caykon · 22/07/2009 12:47

I don't know who I am suppose to be sending mine onto. I was going to post it early so that I know I hve sent it and also it gives the other person a bit of extra time especially with holidays etc

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/07/2009 16:23

Caykon, we post to the same person as last time, which makes everything nice and simple.

TeamEdward, is that you hiding in PotterVsCullen?!

caykon · 23/07/2009 09:10

that makes sense. why didn't I realise that

swissmiss · 23/07/2009 10:02

Caykon - It would be very difficult to organise if we had to post to a different person each time

Simpson - Posting deadline is 1st of month.

From my point of view I've not problems with books being posted out early if you've finished them. What do the rest of you think?

OP posts:
swissmiss · 23/07/2009 10:05

... I've no problems.....

(other than with my spelling!)

PvC (think I'll just call you CQ!) - I'm struggling with mine too. Over half way but I just don't get it. Oh well am persevering, as you said, tis the whole point of a swap.

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 23/07/2009 14:25

I've no problems with early posting if it's more convenient for people either.

We can always be very abstemious and refuse to open the book until the 2nd of the month!

Wheelybug · 23/07/2009 17:55

No probs posting early here - in fact, I will hve to post the next one early as I am going away on 1st. I'm going to post it as soon as I get round to it (last minute then !).

PotterVsCullen · 24/07/2009 20:41

Yes Moomin, 'tis I EdwardBitMe/TeamEdward.
Decided on a bit of Potteresque name changing. I will return undisguised forthwith...
