got the email - thanks !does it matter if we send early ? i need to go to PO to send a pressie which needs to be there by 1st and would rather not queue twice as our PO is somewhat painful !

MMM - no they weren't! there was a mozzie buzzing around but apparently it wasn't interested in me, which is unusual.

Wheely - I don't see a problem with that, send it 2nd class and then chances are it'll only arrive after 1st anyway! I need to get a life too in that case, you're not on your own about being excited.

doh ! Of course Swissmiss why didn't I think of that ? Baby brain I hope which will be restored once I start getthing sleep ....

Wheely, only reason I thought of that is that DH took DS & DD1 out today from 9am until 7pm, i'd gone back to bed after a crap night, all 3 kids up at different times, so had managed to catch up on some sleep (until 11am - bliss) when DD2/baby had her morning nap. Aside from lack of sleep my other excuse it that my brain cells go out in my breast milk (it was good enough for Gwynneth Paltrow so why not for me!)

Ah so that's where my brain cells are going Swissmiss.. sounds a good excuse to me .

DD1 now ill so might not get to post before 1st July anyway after all that .

LOL at all of us panicking at posting of books.
By the time I get half way through the cycle I will be lucky to be posting for the 12th of the month. Can I earn extra points just now for posting a day early this time?

Sorry! I didn't mean to start a panic but I had to go to the Post Office anyway and didn't fancy queueing two days in a row, not in this heat.

Mine's arrived!! How exciting lol! Am I allowed to say anything about it? i now know how my sender got inspiration for her mumsnet name!

oh yes, and I have a complaint to make (). Am sure the other book clubs send chocolate too when they send the book and I don't think its been suggested here. A bit remiss don't you think ???

If we sent chocolate with the books at the moment all the pages would stick together.

Dear recipient, I hope you enjoy it! I imagine we can mention the books' titles. It will make discussing them a bit tricky otherwise.

MMM - i was going to set up a thread for each book using just our mn name and the book/authors' initals. that way those who want a surprise won't know what books they will get during the year but those of us who have already read it will know what we're on about.

i'll post links when i've set up the threads. off to do tea for tired grumpy and hot dcs.

But, I'm now trying to guess the books. Have only managed to guess 2 so far though !!

Lol @Wheely. Just trying to do a post with links to each one. At least by not having the book name (initials) in the title it's up to each one of us if we go and look!

Amazingly no one chose the same book!I know what they all are but even so am still looking forward to getting one each month as I've not yet read any of them.
