Anyone fancy joining a new book swap?

I was wondering if anyone fancied joining me in a new Book Swap. I was part of one on here for a couple of years that worked really well, then we all got a bit busy and decided to give it a rest. Now no-one on MN seems to do them anymore!

The idea is that you get a small group together (up to about a dozen) of people who enjoy reading similar genres or are prepared to try something new. Everyone then chooses a book they have enjoyed, that’s not really famous or a bestseller. On the first day of each month, you post your book to the next person on the list...and then the same again on the following month. We posted chocolate too last time but that’s not compulsory! The idea is that you get to read books you haven’t heard of, and chat about them if you want to.

Some of the books we ended up reading last time: The Water of the Hills, Cutting for Stone, The Snow Child, On The Black Hill, Prince of Tides, The Weather in the Streets, Any Human Heart, Cat’s Eye, A Month in the Country.

I have started a thread on my book in this section - if you look, you can see what I've written (no spoilers about what the book is or what happens, although obviously as people add to the thread, having read it, spoilers will turn up, so it's best not to look at these threads too much before you get the book!)

I've started a thread for my book. Off to read the others now.

Received my book and chocolate cunties :) although I now have a book with cunties written in it on my shelf- hoping for lovely weather and dd2 having a nap so I can enjoy both tomorrow! And aero mint is my absolute favourite!!! (Dp and the kids hate it, not so lucky with the cookie crumble- they annihilated it)

Right, questions-
Do we write thoughts in the appropriate thread as we go through the book, or just one summary post once we've read it?

When we're writing in the threads, do we have to be mindful of not giving spoilers? This might make it quite tricky to respond to the book...

Almost definitely- I sent it first class on Tuesday!! I will go into the post office ASAP tomorrow and see what on earth has gone wrong. I am so sorry I'm letting you down

just a book?!? since it hasn't arrived today either I can only suggest the bloody old biddy I left it with has cocked up somewhere... I will send all future ones at the main one in town for future safety!!
