Now we are 12 !

Here is a list of everyone in our swap group -

So, our aim is to have a first posting on 1st September. Then we will post on 1st of each month thereafter. If we can try and stick to this (obviously 1-2 days after is ok) then we won't get a backlog. Hopefully this will be helped by having shorter books this time !!

Also, even if its just a line of two saying you hated it, or didn't read it, please post a comment on the relevant thread.

So between now and say 7 August (as I am off for 2 weeks after that) can those who haven't send me the book they have chosen.

Any questions just shout.

It is a village, so if there's no sign tomorrow, I will drop in and double check that it's not sitting in the post office and they forgot to leave me a card thing.

wheely did madamy ever resurface with the rest of the books from round 1? I seem to have lost all trace of my book City of Light. Did Ed ever get The Welsh Girl back?

No sign at the post office. I guess I'll leave it a short while in case royal mail 'find' it somewhere and if nothing's come in a week or so I'll get another copy.

I got Moomin's book today, thanks.

Its really bizarre that so many things go missing - is there a logical explanation (guessing the postage and getting it wrong, poor packaging etc?)

Swissmiss - no she never did resurface despite emails etc. Sorry !

Tigger - IIRC Lightshines book is your October book and Team Ed's your Nov book so we have a bit of time to see if it turns up ? Keep us posted (no pun intended)

Lightshines -n o idea !! In the case of this swap the other 2 books that are 'missing' were sent on to one of the people who has gone AWOL so not missing as such.

Simpson - I presume you've sent Cathcat's book onto Caykon ? I'll email Cathcat/caykon to see where your and Moomin's next ones are.

Simpson - your next book was posted yesterday so should be with you any moment.

Moomin - Caykon has had some family issues this month so apologises for the delay, she'll be posting monday at the latest.

So, I think that's all the books accounted for other than Team Ed's missing book....

I will have a look around the post room at work, its POSSIBLE it got waylaid somehow and didn't get put in the post although I can't see how. If not will purchase another and send it on at the end of the month. Lucky it was so early so no harm done.

I'm afraid so TeamEdward. I can get one from amazon fairly cheaply and will send it direct to tiggerday if it hasn't turn up by the later part of the month. I fear somehow it is my muddle headedness that had caused its disappearance. :(

This month's book (Simpson's) and next month's (Cathcat's) have reached me safely. Thanks very much, Caykon. It was very kind of you to take the trouble to get them to me when you have so much else on your plate. I hope things ease up for you soon.

No, didn't ever get the other book - will go on the thread and see if I can figure out which one I'm supposed to get as a replacement so I don't end up screwing it up with a change of book partway through!
