Now we are 12 !

Here is a list of everyone in our swap group -

So, our aim is to have a first posting on 1st September. Then we will post on 1st of each month thereafter. If we can try and stick to this (obviously 1-2 days after is ok) then we won't get a backlog. Hopefully this will be helped by having shorter books this time !!

Also, even if its just a line of two saying you hated it, or didn't read it, please post a comment on the relevant thread.

So between now and say 7 August (as I am off for 2 weeks after that) can those who haven't send me the book they have chosen.

Any questions just shout.

I'm definitely up for another round. Smile

I'm not comfortable with people buying replacement books though. There is no way I would want to do it! The first two circles I did, were less succesful than this is terms of losing people/books, but the missing ones were replaced by a totally different book from the next recipient along. I'm not sure if that would be a more acceptable solution as these things always happen, but may be worth considering.

I was very lucky this time round - I have had all 12 books!

I've just had a look and it seems that we no longer have to be to send other mumsnetters a private message.....that was the only thing putting me off organising, so if I am correct, I am happy to co-ordinate a new one.

I suggest giving current members until the end of the month to opt in (or out|) and then opening up to new recruits....

I am up for another round Grin

itsatiggerday · 20/05/2011 12:39

OK have been mulling and I'd be up for another round.

I'm a bit Sad my book got lost but it was worth it for the other ones I got to read that I would never have picked up.

Any ideas how we can vet that any new joiners actually plan to pass books on!?

simpson · 29/05/2011 23:26

has anybody not read caykons book before I post it back to her???

Jas · 30/05/2011 08:59

tigger - there is no way of ensuring new members pass on books. I've done enough swaps now to have discovered that a poster who is totally reliable in one year can have theircircs change and drop out unexpectedly the next year.

We just have to take a chance...

I know, was tongue in cheek really...

simpson · 07/06/2011 10:20

still need to post caykon's book back to her Blush but can't find the address....

Wheely - can you PM me with it?? >

cathcat · 13/06/2011 14:59

Just popping in to say that I have The Camomile Lawn and should finish it tonight so can post it to Simpson tomorrow.

I have my book back, thank you, and received them all so thank you to everyone. It was a great selection- my favourite being The Year of Wonders which I thought was just wonderful.

Lightshines · 17/08/2011 14:55

I received three books by post today -

my own (thanks!)
TeamEd's book - The Woman in Black by Susan Hill
Saladbomb's book - Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Letham

I've read the Susan Hill - Team Ed, not sure why you sent it to me, do you want it back?

SaladBomb, I have not read your book, but I would like to. If you would like me to post it back to you once I have finished, please PM me your address.
