2 mcs - when to try again

Hi all,
I've just had 2 miscarriages, 2 months apart. I have a 21 month old son. Both of the mcs were early on (5 weeks) and the last time we waited a cycle to try again. This time I'm really struggling with when is the right time. A huge part of me says that we should just try again straight away, as waiting a cycle didn't help last time, but another part of me says maybe this is a sign we should wait 2/3/4 cycles before trying again. I've read that we should try again when the time is right, but I don't know when that is, I just want to give myself the best chance to conceive next time but I don't know how to tell when that is.

Hello, so sorry for your losses...I hope you are being looked after...
I had a mc four weeks ago, and like you it was early on (6 weeks).
I think trying again is a personal thing, I was told that as loss was early and complete, as long as I got aBFN it would be ok to ttc...as long as emotionally, and physically you feel up to it?.
Doctor did say that leaving it a month makes it easier to date pregnancy.
Some say you are more fertile after a loss?..but I don't think I am ...
There are lots of threads on here, which I am working my way through, which I have found a great help and support during the last month...
Hope this was of some help...take care of yourself XX

Hello,
Sorry to hear of your losses.
I think that as long as the loss was natural and complete its up to you when you feel ready to try again.
doctors only ask you to wait until your first cycle so its easier to date a pregnancy if you was to concieve straight away!
It took me 2 years to concieve with my d/d (concieved the second day after doing a home test to see if both me and my partner could concieve which came back clear!)
We then decided to ttc quite soon after having our d/d but was unable to concieve until 18 months later which ended in m/c, then again had another m/c 3 months later and fell pregnant again the week we ttc again after and sadly lost the baby again.
All m/c ended naturally at about 8 wks so we ttc as soon as we felt ready, which was as soon as the bleeding stopped from the m/c.
Its totally up to you when you feel ready! We are still ttc and just awaiting test results to see if there any reason but so far just looks like bad luck for us!

Just listen to your body!!! Good luck xxx

Thanks for your replies ladies. I feel much calmer about it this week and think we're just going to go with how we feel. I wish you both the best of luck.
