Don't really know how to feel...

I had a miscarriage a week ago after a week of spotting n the odd blood clot. I did have a scan at 5.5 weeks that showed everything was fine. I was 6.5 weeks and this is my first. I have two other children and my pregnancies were perfectly fine.

I always thought if it happened to me I'd be inconsolable and depressed, but I really don't know how I'm feeling, is this normal? I'm worried that one day I'm going to wake up and its going to hit me really hard, help!

hi there, it affects people very differently. there's no obligation to feel terrible. to be honest i was quite philosophical after my first miscarriage. it was a shock and i was upset for about a week but to have one miscarriage is very common so I almost shrugged it off. i suppose you might wake up feeling rubbish one day but hopefully you'll be able to move on quickly and try again. it's most likely your next pregnancy will be absolutely fine.
