Need some advice

Hi everyone,
I wonder if you could give me any advice/views. We found out we were pregnant last week, and the day after was admitted to hospital with bleeding and pain (was 6.5 weeks at this time). A scan showed a ?very early/collapsing sac and a thickened entometrium but no heartbeat or definate baby - couldn't rule out ectopic or miscarriage. Repeat bloods showed my HCG level had dropped from 750 to 150 in 48 hours.
Am home now, and have continued to bleed slowly and had cramps, but not major blood loss any more
Have a repeat scan tomorrow (will be almost 8 weeks from LMP) - all the doctors keep saying won't know anything for def until next scan, but I just feel fairly hopeless that with bleeding, pain, nothing definate on scan and reducing HCG levels that we have lost our little baby, and feel so sad, and am dreading going for scan tomorrow.
Has anyone had this and not lost their baby?
Thank you so much for reading and any advice, and sorry that you are on this thread probably because you have experienced seomthing similar.

I'm really really sorry, I have had 7mc's and with each one I have had a sac collapsing and HCG levels dropping, Yoursis a dramatic drop. If the pregnancy was ok the HCG would be raising.

Really sorry ernestbear I hope tomorrow brings a definite answer for you. It was similar for me where I'd had one scan that looked like a miscarriage, but they said they couldn't confirm until the second scan, which I had a week later. I think they don't like to say for definite, but it is hard having to wait.

It is a really difficult time, I hope you are getting lots of support.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to respond - i guess I must have had a "TV" idea of miscarriage - big bleed, all over...had no idea how much waiting and uncertainty was involved
