Cannot confirm miscarriage. Any experience?

I am pretty certain I had a miscarriage at the end of march. It took some time to get a scan because of the Easter bank holidays. The scan showed a tiny sac, but nothing to match my dates, of which I was pretty certain. Was told they could not tell whether the sac was a very early stage pg or a failed one. Went back again 12 days later and scan indicated the sac had grown, but again too early to tell. I have to go back for a third scan in 2 weeks. By measurement,it would put me at about 6 weeks pregnant.

I cannot believe that this is a real pregnancy as I don't feel at all pregnant, plus it would mean that I lost the original one and conceived at almost exactly the same time.

This all seems so bizarre and very frustrating as I really can't move on one way or another. Has anyone had a similar experience and how did it turn out for you?

I had a similar experience but they also did blood tests to see whether hormone levels were incresing. I was pregnant and have a beautiful 8 year old now. This came after a missed miscarriage and was a horrible time for me. So strwnge not knowing for sure.

Great to hear it worked out for you. Did you feel pregnant at all? I really don't and since I've had 2 successful pregnancies I would have expected to just know. I find it so hard to believe that I could be.

I'm in a similar situation, t&g - I thought I was 7 weeks when I had a bleed - the scan showed a 5wk sac and although the only real symptoms I had was a bit of nausea, it's all gone now. I'm going back for another scan on weds, but I feel like it's all over and that they're not going to find anything going on. When you don't get any symptoms alongside it, you just don't feel pg? Especially as with DD1, DS1 and DS2 I had at least a few symptoms by now...
I sympathise, and I only hope we're both fortunate enough to have happy outcomes! Best wishes x

I have finally had my miscarriage confirmed after 3 scans and 5 weeks. Frustrating as I now have to wait another week before I'm in a position to do anything about it. Must just be a bit more patient I guess.

Hobbitmama I hope the news is good for you tomorrow. Good luck for a successful pregnancy in the not too distant future!
