Painful periods since MC

I had a MC 10 weeks ago and my second period started today. The one I had 5 weeks ago was quite a bit more painful and heavier than before and this one is also going the same way. Has anyone else had similar issues with their periods after MC? I have always had long cycles so am not worried they are 36/37 days long, just painful. Just wondering if this is part of the settling down process or something to worry about?

I think you can expect your cycles to be quite different than they were before. My first one was surprising normal, but they seem to have got worse since then! I've always had heavy periods off the pill, but they are definitely heavier, longer and more painful since my miscarriage. Just another thing to add to the cruelty - although some people find that they are much lighter. I guess it just takes our bodies a while to settle down. I'm hoping so, in any case!

I found this site quite helpful in terms of basically advising us to expect the unexpected, although I'm guessing you've already seen it!

If you aren't trying to conceive, you could always go on the pill for a bit to make them more bearable?
