Am I normal?

I found out I was pregnant on 18th Feb 2010, then 2 days later started to spot. I was 2-3 weeks. By the evening I had stabbing pains and very heavy bleeding.
I know the bleeding can last for a while, but it keeps going, then a day or so later, I'm bleeding again. It's been 10 days of weirdness.
Is that just the miscarrage, or the period as well, or do I still have that to come? I called the Gp, but the receptionist said he didn't need to see me as it was so early, but she'd leave him a note and if he thought it necessary, he's call. He hasn't. I also didn't see the point in going to the hospital as a scan wouldn't have told them anything as it wouldn't have had a heartbeat by then.
I keep looking on different site for answers, but what is discribed, isn't what I have. Can anyone shed some light on it all?

wannabpg of course you are normal!

very sorry to hear you are having a rough time.

firstly i think you should go and see your gp asap. it really doesnt matter how early on in pg you are/were. if you are bleeding more than you would during normal af and you have any concerns you need to seek medical advice.

i hope you get some answers soon

Wanna I am so sorry about your loss.
That is terrible and I can understand you need answers.

Can you get to an *early pregnancy unit tomorrow?
Did you tell the Docs you were bleeding!?
If you can get to an *EPU they will scan you and be able to reassure you of what's happening.

I didn't want your post to go unanswered and after having several MMC myself I've found Mumsnet a life saver for hand holding and advice
Please search ( whenever you're ready) for a thread named : Just MC... Long haul, short haul...
I haven't quite got the hang of this linking malarkay just yet sorry.
It's choc full (as many more threads are) of fab ladies who are / have been, where you are now.
Let me know how you get on. x

I am acting as Mrs Gazebo's PA. Also agree, better to go to an EarlyPregnancyUnit, as they are geared up for this. (Most) GPs are not. Best wishes to you.
