Hi Steph,

so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, i had three and am now 26 weeks pregnant (i tell you to give you hope not to rub it in!). I didn't experience anything like this but it can be different for everyone, my advice is to speak to a healthcare professional who you think you can trust and insist on being taking seriously. It must be excruciating waiting for your period as presumably you are also waiting to ovulate so that you can try again. I found the Miscarriage Association very helpful (google them) their website was good but their helpline was even better. I have come to accept that miscarriage is a normal, but nonetheless distressing, part of a woman's reproductive life (1 in 3 pregnancies as i am sure you are aware). Good luck with getting the medical support that you need and deserve.

After my first miscarriage it took me 4 months to get my period back. I did have severe haemorrhage however, and refused a transfusion, and the doctor thought it might be because of that. Dunno if that helps, sorry.
