how do I know if I've miscarried completely?

Hi,

I had bleeding from 5.5 weeks for maybe 5-6 days, like a period, clots, hardly any cramping.
My HCG levels were tested a week ago and came back at 7, got more blood taken today so will get those results tomorrow, and I did a pregnancy test today which is negative.
I know I'm no longer pregnant, but how do I know I've miscarried completely. My sister had a miscarriage at the same stage and she had major cramping and passed something obvious. I didnt have that, lots of clots though, but no cramps.
Also I need to go to the toilet all the time at the moment.
Will ring doctors tomorrow, but wondering if anyone has any info for me?

Sorry to hear about your m/c. I had one at about that stage, and like you passed lots of clots but nothing obvious. I felt fine, but saw my GP as I wanted a scan to confirm that there was nothing left. I also wanted the m/c on my medical notes. My GP referred me for a scan which confirmed that everything had come away. I imagine your GP would want to check your urine to make sure you don't have an infection that's making you go to the loo all the time, so it might be worth taking a sample with you.
