When did your periods return after ERPC?

I had my second MMC and ERPC 6 weeks ago. I was 8.5 weeks pregnant at ERPC and the baby had stopped growing 2 weeks previously. Pregnancy tests were negative 2 weeks after the ERPC.

My first MMC was similar but ERPC later, at 11 weeks (but baby stopped growing at 6 weeks). I can't remember when my periods returned but I think it was about 5 weeks (or less) after ERPC. I have had DS between the two MMCs

This time I'm pretty sure I ovulated and I've had period-like symptoms for about 2 weeks. We're not using any contraception but I don't feel pregnant and pregnancy tests are negative.

I know it can take longer than this for periods to return but just wanted to see what other people's experiences were. I want to move on and try again

Sorry to hear of your mc Mini.

Probably of no help but I also mc 6 weeks ago, at 9 wks pregnant and still haven't stopped bleeding from that, so I guess my period won't be for a while yet!

I asked gp and she said everyone different, some people start having periods again after 4 weeks, others can take months, and apparently my mc bleeding could also go on for weeks. Little help and encouragement I know, but thought you might like to hear from someone in the same boat. Hope it sorts itself soon.

Sorry for your loss hmmsleep...I had no bleeding after my ERPC this time. Just got my period after 7.5 weeks. Phew.

Hope things improve for you.

Thanks. I am very very nervous!! I am 5 weeks and it was a shock to get pg so quickly again but needless to say I am very cautiously happy but very scared too! Don't think I am quite ready emotionally if it doesn't go to plan thsi time. I am in a bit denial at moment until I can actually get a scan and get it all confirmed.

Hope all works for you. xxx

Just bumping. Wondered if anyone could could advise - I had my erpc 7 weeks ago and my period has not arrived. I had cramps 2 weeks ago, which I thought would be a period but no blood. I am getting worried. I will go to EPU on MOn but wondered if anyone had a similar experience.

I had an ERPC on 8th Dec following a MMC and got my period on 7th Jan which is pretty much exactly four weeks later.

Hi. It took nearly 8 weeks for my period to return after erpc. I had some period pains on and off for about 2 weeks b4 period returned.

Thank you to those who responded. My periods were like clockwork before the MMC and so I guess I am worrying because I didn't expect it to take so long. I can't tell you how relieved I will be when it arrives.

Hi

I'm really concerned that it will take a while for my periods to return and my cycle to settle back down so I am starting acupuncture next week. Has anyone tried this with success? I also have reflexology on a regular basis and startd back yesterday (you shouldn't have it in the first 12 weeks) so I hope this will help too.

Hi Hannah

Just saw your other post. I started accupuncture on Friday. However, I think something is not right with my uterus since the ERPC in Nov. 7 weeks later, I am still having pain in my boobs and thighs. Also, I have ovd twice and in between, I had period cramps but no blood. Will get scanned tomorrow.

Before my pregnancy, I had a session of acc and fell pregnant a month later but not sure if this was the reason as I was taking vits and using the nclearblue fertility monitor.

Hi sh77

I have been seeing an acupuncturist for the past 10 months as I have RSI in my wrists from typing and it has been a great help so I am feeling very positive about this. I don't think my husband is though but he doesn't have much choice in the matter [grin}.
