Why does a mc make the everything else feel so crappy too?

Sorry ladies just a moan really.

Back work 3 days since my mc. So unbelievably tired and feeling way more stressed than is necessary or reasonable (I'm new teacher). I had to have a massive meltdown when I got home and then sleep for an hour. Why can't mc just make you sad for a while and then let you recover. I don't see why my everything in my life has to feel crappy! I'm tired of these tears

poor you - I know how horrible it is (been there twice....) - I am usually a very pragmatic person, but my mcs really knocked me sideways. Be kind to yourself and take things as easy as you can

Do you have any children yet? (sorry if that sounds insensitive).

Hug for you. It does I don't know why. It just drains you doesn't it? The tiredness, the lack of enthusiam for anything, it's just like being drained of everything.

Only two days to the weekend, then you can do what you want, sleep all day, go out, shopping, haircut, whatever you want. Have a weekend for you.

And being a new teacher must be very hard work so that must be tiring too. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Hi Scatt. I hope you're feeling better. I just wanted to sympathise.

I have also just had a m/c (D&C 2 days ago) and am also a new teacher - back to school on Monday and dreading it. I'm really worried I might break down in front of the kids. I guess I'll just have to try to 'switch off' my emotions for the working day.

Things have got to get better, haven't they?
Take care.

Thanks so much for your responses and tips, its good to know I'm not the only one feeling like the (although I would never wish this on anyone). I have been SO nice to myself since the mc I feel quite lazy , I guess I hoped I was through the worst.

beonit, best of luck for Monday. I have found my colleagues to be amazing but I'm just finding my responses to normal classroom stress pretty extreme. I've not cried in school or in front of the kids, but I do feel totally strung out. I just don't really know how to make this job any less stressful. I took 2 weeks off as its my 2nd mc this year so i can't take any more time off.

I feel better for offloading - thanks ladies. Let hope the passage of time and all ... that I feel more sane!

Scatt
