anyone had miscarriages before and between children?

trawled through all the threads to see if anyone out there been through miscarriages and successful pregnancies in between - not sure how I feel about trying again as had third mc in may and one before and between my two lovely boys - anyone any advice ?

Sorry, no advice but my cousin's wife had 2 miscarriages before first child and 1 inbetween first and second. You're probably already familiar but she swears she couldn't have coped without support from the miscarriage association

I'm sorry to hear you have had miscarriages.

My first pregancy ended in mc at 20 weeks, then I had two daughters nealry three years apart. Then I had a mc at 16 weeks, got pregnant very soon after and have got a ds.

Only you can decide if you want to try again. I know I personally won't be trying for anymore as I feel so very lucky to have the three I have and I also always wanted three.

yes - had 3 mc's each time - before ds1, ds2 - and also lost his twin - and before dd

2 pregnancies then two miscarriages, pregnant again now, only 8 weeks so still playing the waiting game.

yes I had a m/c with 1st pg and then 2 DDs then lost DD at 23 wks, then had DSs followed by a m/c at 20 wks, another early m/c and then DS, so I very luckily have 5 DC. I was given a 50% risk of m/c and stillbirth with each pg but I have blood clotting issues which I only found out after 3rd m/c. I was so scared it was untrue but very worth it to have my DC.

Me too. Miscarriage before DD, DD, MC, DS.

Sorry you are going through this. We have a friend who had a DS, then six miscarriages (some quite late) before going onto have a very healthy DS2. Who is almost one.

3 mc then ds then 4 mc then dd then 2 more mc and still hoping and trying ... although its beginning to look as though I just got lucky in not losing the two children I do have ..

2 mc's before I had my children

I had two mcs between ds and dd (due in December) and trying again was for me the best way to get over it. I was pg again (and viable) by the time I passed my first due date, I hadn't even realised I'd passed the date until a week later. It was very important for my healing process.

My situation is similar to yours I had a mc Jan 2007 at 8 weeks, DS Dec 2007.
MMC March 2009 at 13 weeks, and I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with another DS.

Like HeadFairy I've been fortunate to be pregnant when my MC due dates passed. I did have a little think and cry both times as the due dates approached, but it has helped me and I feel very fortunate that I am pregnant again.

If this pregnancy is successful I am not sure how or if we are going to approach having a third (plus I am getting on a bit). I find the emotional pain of MC and the first 12+ weeks of the pregnancy very wearing. This time round I have felt more relaxed after the 20 week scan.

Thanks so much for all of this - felt like I was the only one anywhere to be going through this and lots of friends having babies at the minute so makes it all a bit harder even though last one and one between my boys were very early - I contacted miscarriage association after first one and found them very useful - also ordered few books about it online and not sure whether helped or not, really does help to know that other people out there have similar experiences.
