Missed miscarriage - helping things along

I was found to have a missed miscarriage last week. Absolutely devastated and so sorry so many people go through this. Baby measured 8 weeks 5 days. I would much rather not have an erpc or medical management if i can avoid it but I would now be 10+4 and have no signs of miscarriage as yet. I cant wait forever as obviously have to go back to work and am desperate to TTC again. Does anyone know and 'natural' ways to help induce the miscarraige? Do things like rasberry leaf tea/pineapple etc have any effect does anyone know? Any advice much appreciated.

thank you

I'm sure I saw someone mention reflexology - might be worth a google

So sorry to hear your sad news. There was a discussion about acupuncture and MMC here

I hope this helps, and keep posting, that's helpful too!

Wishing you lots of strength xx

So sorry to hear your news. I had acupuncture immediately after my MMC (mine happened naturally) to help my body recover and it really helped. Where in the country are you? If you want to investigate the acupuncture route, perhaps find someone who specialises in fertility issues and give them a ring to see if they can help (there is an Acupuncture Fertility Network where you can find someone local). I know my practioner won't work on my stomach zone during the 2 week wait due to the risk of causing a miscarriage so maybe they can help.

So sorry. It is a dreadful experience. Take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was advised that if more than 2 weeks had passed since your baby had died and there was no sign of miscarrying fully, that your chances of it happening on it's own were low.

Are there any particular reasons you want to avoid an ERPC ? I have had two, and it was a very quick process

join the club Whostolemyname, I was told on thursday (at 11 weeks) baby had died 2 weeks ago (probably just after I had a positive 9 week scan). I really really don't want the medical option I can't bear to see it but don't like the thought of the surgery. It's a terrible set of choices isn't it! But I really want it out so I can deal with the loss. even if there was something natural you would still risk there being 'products' left behind that could cause infection and an infection from this would be very bad.
