Bleeding after ERPC

Hi all......I had ERPC on Thursday and have stopped bleeding now and it only Tuesday........having read through posts on here about this, I'm really concerned that this is the calm before the storm and that I'm going to start bleeding again.

Has anyone stopped bleeding this soon after and if so when did you have your first AF?

Hi hoops, sorry about your miscarriage. I have had 2 erpcs (seperate miscarriages) and bled for only couple of days after each of them.

The first time my period arrived 28 days later. Today is day 26 after my second EPRC, am hoping AF be band on schedule again.

that's reassuring to know, a few ladies on these threads have been bleeding for weeks and weeks..........

have you TTC? or did you find it too scary, i must admit I'm going to be a bit wary at first.....sorry for the questions but this is my first m/c and would hate to go through it again.....

I'm not doing too badly thanks, a bit up and down but a lot better than I expected to be at this stage. The first few weeks were horrible though, and I'm sorry that you are still there. It does get easier.

It helps that I now have DS who is 2 to take my mind off things. He was conceived 4 months after my first m/c. We didn't really try for a couple of months as we were still getting over the shock of what had happened.

This time we haven't exactly been TTC but we've not used contraception either. I'm trying to adopt a zen-like approach (what will be will be) but it's not easy! I know when I do conceive again I will be a wreck but for the moment I feel the m/c is my body "practising" before I have a baby iyswim.

yes I know exactly what you mean, I was told for ages and ages that I wouldn't ever be able to get pregnant but my body has proved that it can ( it took 8 pg tests before I would believe it!!) so I have taken this as a positive out of the horribleness......it's surprising how quickly you get used to the idea that your going to have a little baby! I made the mistake of telling everyone and now when they ask how bean is I have the horrible task of letting them know bean isn't there anymore so have the same comments again and again, loads of people turn into bloody doctors!!

I'm glad that you are ok and that it does get easier with time, but i still get a bit envious when I see a newborn or heavily pg lady, hopefully this will pass and it will be my time soon.....

Yes I think that the fact that you were pregnant is the only positive thing and something to celebrate in a way. I feel blessed to have been pregnant 3 times even though I only have one DC.

...Aaargh! But I suppose people find it hard to say the right thing.

I know what you mean about seeing pg ladies, I get wobbly too. My sil is due in October and last time my sister had her DS two weeks before I would have been due.

Is there anything positive you can think about doing over the next few weeks as you start to recover? I've booked a few reflexology sessions and am trying to improve my diet and exercise a bit more.

Yeah I'm off to a festival this weekend with DP we have had a really rough time of it recently so we are going on a date!! And also I have thrown myself into my job, I help bereaved people through difficult times and that is taking my mind off my loss....it also puts things into perspective, like today we had a service for an 18 year old girl who died very suddenly, seeing her parents in such a state made me feel like my loss was very small........
