I'm just wondering if anyone can help me work out what just happened...
I have a very long cycle - average 42 days.
Anyway, last week I realised it have been over 50 days since my last period and I thought I'd do a test. It came up negative but when I looked back about an hour later it was positive. This was Wednesday. So 3 negative tests later I thought okay this is weird. All of them had slightly coloured lines indicating postive but I thought they must be evap lines.
Saturday I was going out so I thought I'll do one more test and just check so I can enjoy a few wines in the evening. Positive line comes straight up within 3 mins and I do another one to check and it comes up. Assume pregnant.
Sunday, I start bleeding. Monday off to doctor and EPU at hospital. Scan indicates nothing developing so they do bloods etc. These indicate my hormone levels are normal and I am not pregnant. Tuesday very bad bleeding and cramping.
So I was effectively 12 days late, yet nothing had formed inside. Is this a chemical pregnancy or one that just never went anywhere? I don't know
I feel okay about the whole thing as I only had 2 days of thinking I was pregnant.
