I've never posted before but since my mc started a week last friday I've been reading all the threads. Everyone's experience seems to be different, including mine.
I ended up in a&e the next day, when I flooded on walk from car park (luckily I also had long coat on so hid back of jeans). We spent 4hrs there, had lots of tests, and a scan was booked for the following Monday. On the Sun afternoon I had quite bad cramps and was going through a pad every 30mins or so, but this slowed by bedtime and managed to cope ok with pain. Monday's scan showed birth sack in wrong place (told it was too low down) and appeared to be empty. Sent to gynie dept and opted for Med evac for Thurs just gone.
During first part of med evac on Tues and second part on Thurs, nurse and dr asked what we wanted to do with fetal remains, whether we wanted a priest to come and say blessing etc. This really confused me as then wondering whether we had understood scan correctly or hadn't been given all info.
Got myself all worked up for second part of med evac, expecting lots of pain etc etc, but I was given two lots of medication 4hrs apart and absolutely nothing happened, sent home at 6pm, but asked to speak to dr first as confused about scan. Dr explained scan showed empty birth sack sitting in cervix not uterus (didn't know this). So, I know fetus had already gone by scan last Monday, so I am thinking med evac was too late and process had already taken place. I am hardly bleeding at all now and I am now waiting for appointment at gynie dept to check everything gone. Did a pregnancy test this morning which was positive so wondering how long it will take for body to settle down as would like to try again soon. We already have dd who is 2yro and, thankfully, kkeeping us entertained.
