Is my body just playing tricks on me?

I had a mc end Nov 08 at 6 weeks. Back ttc this month and af is 7 days late. I did a preg test on Tues and it was negative. Still no af. Breasts are sore - but could be that the af is coming soon. Do I just wait for af to arrive? It is not driving me crazy yet, but I really don't want to get hopes up at all..... Any one got any pearls of wisdom for me??

Pearls of wisdom I don't know but perhaps a few grains of sand wisdom - Is this your first af since the mc in Nov? If not, could just be that your system is still messed up a bit so periods may be irregular. If you're usually very regular, then maybe you are preggers and for some reason, the test didn't detect it that day. Then again, from my own personal experience - I've never had a false negative (or false positive). Those tests are pretty darn accurate.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I guess only time will tell. Don't you just hate all the waiting?!!

I had a 'normal' af in Jan 35 days after mc. So just presumed things were back to normal. My gut feeling is that my system might be a bit messed up.... As you say - only time will tell.
