I just had a miscarriage, i was supposed to be 7 weeks pregnant my baby never formed or grew. i was bleeding for two weeks and happened to where all of the baby products had aborted itself through out my bleeding. Since my uterus dint get big or my inside of my body. I talked with my husband and told him i was ready for sex again and ready to try getting pregnant again which we both did. Could i get pregnant again even if i dint get my menstrual cycle yet?

Yes you could.

In general, a woman's period comes because she has ovulated and the egg has not been fertilised or implanted.

That means that in the normal course ovulation will happen before you bleed (usually a couple of weeks before). There are some exceptions -it is possible to have a cycle where you don't ovulate - but in general you will ovulate before you bleed, and so it is possible to get pregnant before you get your period.

I don't have that facility, coyotie, sorry.

Yes you can. I really hope you do. But just a word of warning: after I miscarried I was absolutely convinced I had conceived again straight away. I had ALL the symptoms, the whole gamut.

I wasn't pregnant.

Now I wonder if I still had pregnancy hormones flooding my system, or maybe I was just so desperate to undo the miscarriage that I was kidding myself. Either way, finding out I wasn't pregnant again was almost as distressing as the miscarriage. So be gentle with yourself.

By the way, I did successfully conceive again just a few weeks later. That was very healing.

Yes you can. I did. Had 3rd mc on 3rd April '08, I was 6wks pregnant. 6 weeks later I hadn't had period, did another test, was positive, gp sent me for a scan and I was 5 and half weeks pregnant. Baby is due in 5 weeks.
Goodluck.

I'm sorry i was requested to post message that. I'm knew to this program.
so there is a possibility to get pregnant again. My miscarriage was on the week of Christmas, I starting to bleed from the week of December 15-December 31. on my prenatal appointment of December 30, is when ultra sound was set for me and there i was told all the products were out from me. For some reason it never formed and grew. I was thinking how i lost my baby was when i fell at Mc Donald's, two days after that is when i found out was pregnant, this pregnancy took 5 years for me to get pregnant and i lost it AGAIN! The doctor did told me to try again. but i guess i was so shock about loosing another one got me to think, and think. So dint ask questions. I was ready to have sex again and try again. and hopefully this will be a planned and healthy pregnancy.

Very best of luck to you, coyotie.

I'm sure your fall in McD's didn't have anything to do with it coyotie. Please don't blame yourself. I know what you're going through though.
All the best. X

Coyotie, it is definitely possible to get pregnant before your period returns.

I had a mc at the end of November and am 5 weeks pregnant again now which means I must have conceived about 2 weeks afterwards. Like you I mc'd naturally at about 8 weeks. Hopefully this pregnancy will stay put.

Sorry about your mc and best of luck.
