Fibroids- any similar experiences

I have recently had ultrasound which confirmed
my 3rd m/c which also picked up a large fibroid. I knew that I had some small fibroids but these seem to have grown a lot during the start of this pg.
I am now worried that I may have to have these removed and that this may cause problems with conceiving.

Does anyone have a similar experience?

Dear Surfingclare, I am new to this board, but was diagnosed with a fibroid after having a miscarriage in October 2008. Diagnosed in December 2008 and had the fibroid removed in January 2009.

I was just wondering how things are with you.

Hi Melscorp, Thank you for your message, I have not visited mumsnet for some time. I had my fibroids removed on the 19th Feb (6 weeks ago). All went ok and I am recovering well. Very scared to TTC, feel like this maybe my last chance as i am 40!

How are thing with you now?
