Infection for 7 weeks

I had a complete miscarriage at 7 weeks and since then ive been in pain. I would have been 14 weeks pregnant now. My swab test came back last week that i have an infection so my doctor has given me strong Antibiotics. Im only on day three of them but the pain isnt getting any better. Im scared the infection was left for too long. Apart from pain, i had and still have no bleeding what so ever, no chills or temperature. My period came five days ago with no problems except for heavy bleeding for the first day. Is it possible the infection has done damage? Will this pain ever go away?

I had an infection after a recent ERPC. I took ABs and the pain only began to get better after about four days and I felt completely OK after about 9 days. This was my second infection after a m/c and in neither cases did I have a temperature or odd bleeding.

I suspect it's very unlikely that your infection has done any lasting damage and hopefully you should start to feel better soon. If not, go back and talk to your GP.
